Lorelei (formerly known as Maddon) has been living with me for about 7 months now. I thought it was time to send CARS a status report. She is turning into a beautiful, BIG, loving, well-adjusted girl. She gets along very well with her big sister-kitties (except when she can’t resist the kitten urge to pounce on them.) She greets me at the back door every time I’ve been away from the house (whether for hours or minutes) and rears up on her hind legs for me to pick her up and cuddle. She and Cleo have snoring contests every night. Daffodil and I find this very amusing except when it gets so loud that it keeps us awake. She loves to lie on her back and when she sleeps, she sleeps so hard! Thank you for helping Lorelei become a part of our family. -Stacey R. 10/2006

I just wanted to send you an email of Fern who we decided to name Nala. She is an absolutely wonderful part of our family and I am so thankful that you let us adopt her. I am attaching some photos of her...mostly are from our visit to my moms house where she and my moms dog Lexi got along great, but others are from WA..including her on my dashboard!! Life is going good and she loves it here in WI. My dad had absolutely fallen in love with her...he even curls up next to her on her favorite rug to take a nap together!! She snores like no other!! Her favorite thing to do is curl up with us in the morning and fall back to sleep. The cat, Gretta, and her are getting along pretty well...I think Gretta teases Nala to get her in trouble!! She loves to go on walks with me and is great on the leash. She is wonderful...I can't imagine her not with us! Thank you for everything, Kari, Allian, Nala, and Gretta 7/2005

I wanted to let you how Fat George is doing, since he's been in my family for almost 2 weeks now. I've attached a couple of pictures that show Frankie and he are getting along wonderfully, and he's really enjoying the exercise and games he can play on the big cat condo I have. He eats a lot for his size, and seems to already know the sound of the kitty treats opening. My mom has fallen in love with him too, but he's still a little wary of her. He hid for about a week before coming out on his own, but now he's learning how much control he has and I think he likes it! I hope you have a wonderful holiday and thank you again for connecting me with my new baby! Teresa (Fat George is the Tabby pictured) 12/2005

Just wanted to let you know that Samson and Cookie are bonding well. And, that she had a huge time at the dog park. She was totally secure and confident with all the other dogs, and she chased tennis balls for a solid hour! I think she could have gone longer. She is settling in and settling down after exercise and dinner. We will send photos and updates soon. Thanks again for fostering her so lovingly. Michelle & Van (Cookie is the adopted dog!) 11/2006

Just wanted you to know that Baby Orange is really settled in and happy! Now, she follows me and Tahara everywhere in the house..like a dog...sometimes we almost trip over her because you turn around, there she is at your feet! She also talks A LOT...she chirps like a bird...she talks ALL THE TIME...sometimes we cant even keep her quiet (which is fine)! She loves to watch TV...when the TV is on, she puts her nose right up to the TV, sometimes her paw reaches out at some moving object on the TV screen...The only thing about her that we are working on now to change is her potty habit...when she tries to bury her stuff, it's like an excavation project! (I almost think we should call her Indy Jones...) She digs and throws the litter behind her over her shoulders, and by the time she's done, you can see approx. a foot radius of litter strewn all around the litter box! (and all just to bury a little poo or pee!) So, we're working on improving her litter habit....we're going to start by changing the litter to pine...she looks VERY cute though when she's doing all that. Anyways, just letting you know...she's doing fine...she brings a lot of chuckles and joy into our home... Thank you for letting us have her! Aisha 2/2007
